This essay is a draft chapter from the current book project of Becca Voelcker, Land Cinema in an Age of Extraction. It offers parallels between the long endeavor filmmaking and experience of the Ogawa Pro in the farming region of Yagamata in Papan, with the photographic work of Bouba Touré around the farming cooperative of Somankidi Coura and the research project Sowing Somankidi Coura, a Generative Archive together with Raphaël Grisey and others.
